Target Information
MCM2 (Mini chromosome maintenance protein 2) is a nuclear protein involved in regulating DNA replication and cell division. Also known as CDCL1, mitotin, and BM28, MCM2 plays a crucial role in the onset of DNA replication during the cell cycle. It is mapped to chromosome 3q21 and has been considered a candidate oncogene associated with chromosomal breaks in acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
