Target Information

셀레늄은 암 예방, 면역 기능, 남성 생식능, 심혈관 질환, 노화 및 신경질환 과정 조절과 관련되어 있습니다. 이러한 생의학적 효과는 대부분 selenoprotein에 의해 매개되며, 현재 약 17종의 selenoprotein이 확인되었습니다.
Selenoprotein M (SelM)은 포유류의 뇌에서 특히 발현되며, 세포 내 Golgi/ER 주변 구조에 위치합니다. SelM의 역할은 아직 명확히 규명되지 않았습니다.
