For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

MEF2C is a transcription activator that binds specifically to the MEF2 element in regulatory regions of many muscle-specific genes. It regulates cardiac morphogenesis, myogenesis, and vascular development.
In the nervous system, MEF2C plays a key role in hippocampal-dependent learning and memory by modulating excitatory synapses and synaptic transmission. It is essential for neuronal development and cortical organization.
Additionally, MEF2C is required for proper development of megakaryocytes, platelets, and B lymphocytes, influencing B-cell survival, proliferation, and antibody responses. Isoform 3 and 4, lacking the repressor domain, exhibit higher activity compared to isoform 1 and 2.
