Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Catalase is a homotetrameric heme-containing enzyme located in the peroxisome matrix. It catalyzes the dismutation of hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen.
Human catalase includes four amino acids (-KANL) at the C-terminus for peroxisome targeting, and its monomer has a molecular weight of approximately 61.3 kDa.
Catalase plays critical roles in inflammation, mutagenesis, apoptosis prevention, and tumor stimulation.
Deficiency of catalase results in acatalasemia (Takahara’s disease).
