Target Information
RAP80는 아연-핑거 구조를 가진 핵 단백질로, 고환에서 높게 발현되며 RTR(retinoid-related testis-associated receptor)과 상호작용합니다. 이후 연구에서 RAP80은 CCDC98 단백질에 의해 BRCA1 단백질로 유도되어 DNA 손상에 반응하는 BRCA1 초점 형성에 관여함이 밝혀졌습니다. RAP80과 CCDC98은 DNA 손상 저항성, G2-M 체크포인트 조절, DNA 복구에 필요합니다. 두 단백질이 결핍된 세포는 BRCA1 결핍 세포보다는 덜하지만 방사선에 대한 감수성이 증가합니다. 이는 RAP80과 CCDC98이 BRCA1의 DNA 손상 반응 기능의 일부를 조절함을 시사합니다. RAP80은 최소 4개의 아이소폼으로 존재합니다.
