Target Information
The POLR2B gene encodes the second largest subunit of RNA polymerase II, responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes. This subunit, together with at least two other polymerase subunits, forms a structure that maintains contact between the DNA template and the newly synthesized RNA at the enzyme's active site.
