Product Specific Information

This 3DS223H monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD223 (Lymphocyte Activation Gene 3, LAG-3).
LAG-3 is a 70-kDa surface glycoprotein of the Ig superfamily, homologous to CD4, binding MHC class II with higher affinity.
It plays a role in negative regulation of T cell activation and homeostatic proliferation.
Surface expression is observed on activated T cells (including regulatory T cells) and NK cells, with CD8+ T cells expressing higher levels than CD4+ T cells.
Coexpression of LAG-3 and CD49b identifies human and mouse Type 1 regulatory T cells (Tr1 cells).

This antibody recognizes a formaldehyde-fixed epitope and is validated for flow cytometry analysis of stimulated human peripheral blood cells.
Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 668 nm; Laser: Red Laser.
