Product Specific Information

The RPA-2.10 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD2, a 50 kDa cell surface receptor expressed by most thymocytes, mature T cells, and a subset of NK cells. CD2 binds CD58 and plays a role in T-cell adhesion and activation.
RPA-2.10 cross-reacts with non-human primates and pigs.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and validated for flow cytometry at 5 µL (0.125 µg)/test.
A test represents the antibody quantity required to stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL (typically 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Super Bright 436 is excited by a 405 nm violet laser and emits at 436 nm. Recommended detection filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent.

When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

CD2 (LFA-2) is a monomeric surface antigen (45–58 kDa) expressed on human T-lymphocytes and some NK cells, but not on B cells. It mediates adhesion via CD58 and contributes to T-cell activation and immune response regulation.
CD2 deficiency is associated with reduced inflammation and certain immunodeficiencies.
