Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family, functioning as a molecular scaffold for multiprotein complex assembly at specialized plasma membrane regions. It is also a member of the CARD protein family, characterized by a caspase-associated recruitment domain (CARD). CARD11 interacts with BCL10, a positive regulator of cell apoptosis and NF-κB activation, and can activate NF-κB signaling and BCL10 phosphorylation when expressed in cells.
