Product Specific Information

The MIH5 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse B7-H1 (PD-L1), a member of the B7 family with a molecular weight of ~40 kDa. B7-H1 is expressed on T, B, NK, and DC cells, acting as a ligand for PD-1. Interaction between PD-1 and PD-L1 results in inhibition of T and B cell responses. MIH5 is reported as a blocking antibody.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤0.06 µg/test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody staining a sample in 100 µL volume. Cell numbers may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Titrate for optimal performance.

Target Information

Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, B7-H1) is a B7 family member binding to PD-1, which negatively regulates TCR signaling. PD-L1 engagement decreases T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. Expression is abundant on murine and human cancers and upregulated by IFN-γ, suggesting a role in tumor immune evasion.
