Product Specific Information

The HK5.3 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse B7RP-1, also known as B7h, B7-H2, GL50, and ICOS Ligand. B7RP-1 is a member of the B7 family with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 40 kDa and belongs to the Ig superfamily. It is expressed by antigen-presenting cells such as B cells, monocytes/macrophages, and dendritic cells.

B7RP-1 binds to the ICOS molecule (AILIM, CRP-1) expressed by activated T cells. The ICOS/B7RP-1 interaction plays an important role in the T-cell costimulation pathway.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes at ≤0.125 µg/test.
A test is defined as staining a sample in 100 µL volume. Cell number should be determined empirically (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration is recommended for optimal performance.

Target Information

Inducible co-stimulator ligand (ICOSL) is expressed on antigen-presenting cells and peripheral tissue cells, binding to the ICOS receptor on T cells. ICOS belongs to the CD28/CD152 receptor family and regulates T-cell activation and function. ICOSL expression is inducible by inflammatory stimuli and provides co-stimulatory signals for T-cell proliferation and cytokine secretion.
