Target Information
CDH8는 칼슘 의존적 세포 간 접착을 매개하는 카드헤린 초가족의 II형 클래식 카드헤린입니다. 성숙한 카드헤린 단백질은 큰 N-말단 세포외 도메인, 단일 막관통 도메인, 그리고 작은 C-말단 세포질 도메인으로 구성됩니다. 세포외 도메인은 5개의 서브도메인으로 이루어져 있으며, 각 서브도메인은 카드헤린 모티프를 포함하고 단백질의 상동성 세포 접착 특이성을 결정합니다. II형(비전형) 카드헤린은 I형 카드헤린에 존재하는 HAV 인식 서열이 결여되어 있는 것이 특징입니다. CDH8은 주로 뇌에서 발현되며, 시냅스 접착, 축삭 성장 및 유도에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
