RUNX1T1는 아연 핑거 전사인자이자 온코단백질로, 급성 골수성 백혈병(AML) M2 아형에서 가장 흔한 염색체 전위 중 하나인 t(8;21)(q22;q22) 전위와 관련이 있습니다. 이 전위는 RUNX1 유전자의 5' 영역과 RUNX1T1 유전자의 3' 영역이 융합된 키메라 유전자를 생성하며, 생성된 단백질은 핵 코리프레서/히스톤 탈아세틸화 효소 복합체와 결합하여 조혈 분화 과정을 억제하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 이 유전자는 여러 전사 변이체와 다양한 아이소폼을 암호화합니다.
