Neuropeptide B는 orphan G protein coupled receptor GPR7의 내인성 리간드입니다. NPB와 GPR7은 시상하부에서 근접하게 존재하며, 신경내분비 기능 조절에 관여합니다. NPB 면역반응성은 GPR7 mRNA가 높은 수준으로 존재하는 시상하부의 여러 영역(ventromedial, dorsomedial, arcuate nucleus 등)에 풍부하게 분포합니다.
