Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a transcription factor containing several Kruppel-like zinc fingers in its C-terminal region. It has both activation and repression domains, enabling positive and negative regulation of target gene transcription. The gene has an intronless coding region and likely arose by retrotransposition of the related YY1 transcription factor gene on chromosome 14.
