PAK2 (serine/threonine-protein kinase PAK2)는 세린/트레오닌 키나아제로서 세포골격 조절, 세포 이동성, 세포 주기 진행, 세포 사멸 및 증식 등 다양한 신호 전달 경로에 관여합니다. 활성형 CDC42 및 RAC1과 결합하면 구조 변화와 함께 여러 세린/트레오닌 잔기에서 자동 인산화가 일어납니다. 전체 길이 PAK2는 세포 생존과 성장 촉진에 관여하며, PAK 단백질은 Rho GTPases를 세포골격 재조직 및 핵 신호 전달과 연결하는 중요한 효과기입니다. PAK 단백질은 세린/트레오닌 p21-활성화 키나아제 계열로, Cdc42 및 RAC 소형 GTP 결합 단백질의 표적 역할을 하며 다양한 생물학적 활동에 관련됩니다.
