Product Specific Information
This antibody binds to mouse CD62L, the peripheral lymph node homing receptor. CD62L is a lectin-like cell surface protein that is rapidly down-regulated upon cell activation with phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate.
Target Information
Human CD62L (L-Selectin) is a 74–95 kDa glycoprotein belonging to the selectin family of adhesion receptors.
It contains:
- Aminoterminal C-type lectin binding domain
- Epidermal growth factor-like domain
- Two short consensus repeat (SCR) sequences homologous to complement binding proteins
- Short spacer region
- Transmembrane region
- Short cytoplasmic region
CD62L is constitutively expressed on all classes of leukocytes including lymphocytes (except a substantial population of memory T cells), monocytes, and polymorphonuclear cells.
