Product Specific Information
- For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
- For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the parathyroid family of proteins. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate a protein that binds to the parathyroid hormone/parathyroid hormone-related peptide receptor and regulates blood calcium and phosphate levels.
Excess production of this protein (hyperparathyroidism) can cause hypercalcemia and kidney stones, while defective processing (hypoparathyroidism) may lead to hypocalcemia and numbness.
