Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Aurora kinases associate with microtubules during chromosome movement and segregation.
AURKB (Aurora B) localizes to microtubules near kinetochores, specifically to K-fibers.
This complex functions in chromosome alignment and separation, histone modification, and cytokinesis.
The chromosomal passenger complex (CPC) includes inner centromere protein (INCENP), survivin, and borealin, which regulate Aurora B activity, localization, and stability.
AurB is overexpressed in several tumors, including primary breast and colon cancer, and may act in coordination with Aurora-A kinase.
