Product Specific Information
MA1-078 detects eIF2B3 in human, non-human primate, and rat samples.
Validated for use in Western blot, ICC/IF, IHC (P), and immunoprecipitation applications.
The immunogen is full-length human eIF2B3 expressed in HEK293T cells.
Target Information
EIF2B3 catalyzes the exchange of eukaryotic initiation factor 2-bound GDP for GTP.
Mutations in any of the five subunits of eIF2B, including subunit 3, can cause leukoencephalopathy with vanishing white matter.
EIF2B3 also acts as a cofactor in hepatitis C virus internal ribosome entry site-mediated translation.
