This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Target Information

Galectin-1 belongs to a large family of carbohydrate-binding proteins called lectins. It can exist as a monomer or homodimer and is found in a wide variety of cells and tissues. Galectin-1 regulates cell growth and proliferation, induces apoptosis in activated T cells, modulates cytokine secretion, and inhibits pro-inflammatory cytokine production. It plays an important role in both acute and chronic inflammation.
