Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
BMPR1A is a Type I member of the TGF-beta receptor superfamily of transmembrane serine/threonine kinases that phosphorylates intracellular SMADs in response to bone morphogenic proteins. These receptors are closely related to activin receptors ACVR1 and ACVR2. Ligands of these receptors belong to the TGF-beta superfamily. TGF-betas and activins signal through heteromeric complexes of two types of serine/threonine kinase receptors:
- Type I receptors (~50–55 kDa)
- Type II receptors (~70–80 kDa)
Type II receptors bind ligands independently of type I receptors but require them for signaling, whereas type I receptors require type II receptors for ligand binding.
