Target Information

TSC22 domain family protein (TSC22D1) is a transcription factor belonging to the early response gene family.
It acts as a transcriptional repressor on the C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP) promoter and is part of the TSC-22/Dip/Bun family.
Found in both cytoplasm and nucleus, it regulates cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis, and modulates transcriptional activity of Smad3 and Smad4.
TSC22D1 is ubiquitously expressed in fetal and adult tissues, notably in aortic endothelial cells, and is induced by cytokines such as TGFB.
It may serve as a potential therapeutic target for leukemia and prostate cancer.
