Target Information
FYN is a SRC-related kinase expressed in brain, skeletal muscle, and adipose tissues. It functions in various signaling pathways and plays a role in memory formation. FYN belongs to the protein-tyrosine kinase oncogene family, encoding a membrane-associated tyrosine kinase involved in cell growth control. The protein interacts with the p85 subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase and the fyn-binding protein. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms exist.
