Target Information
EXOSC4는 RNA exosome 복합체의 비촉매성 구성요소로, 3'→5' exonuclease 활성을 가진 RNA exosome 복합체의 일부입니다.
이 복합체는 다양한 RNA 처리 및 분해 과정에 관여하며, 핵 내에서는 rRNA, snRNA, snoRNA 등의 안정적 RNA 성숙, RNA 처리 부산물 제거, 비암호화 RNA 및 PROMPTs 제거 등에 관여합니다.
또한, Ig class switch recombination(CSR) 및 somatic hypermutation(SHM)에 관여할 수 있으며, 세포질에서는 mRNA turnover 및 AU-rich element(ARE)를 포함한 불안정한 mRNA의 분해에 관여합니다.
EXOSC4는 ARE를 포함한 RNA에 결합합니다.
