Target Information
PHKG2는 phosphorylase kinase의 γ 서브유닛으로, testis 및 liver에서 발현되는 isoform입니다. Phosphorylase kinase는 α, β, γ, δ 서브유닛 각각 4개씩 총 16개의 서브유닛으로 구성되어 있습니다.
- α 서브유닛은 skeletal muscle과 hepatic isoform으로 구분되며, 서로 다른 유전자에 의해 발현됩니다.
- β 서브유닛은 두 isoform에서 동일하며 단일 유전자로 인코딩됩니다.
- γ 서브유닛은 활성 부위를 포함하며, hepatic isoform은 PHKG2 유전자에 의해 인코딩됩니다.
- δ 서브유닛은 calmodulin으로, 세 가지 유전자 중 하나에 의해 발현될 수 있습니다.
이 효소는 칼슘 농도에 의존적인 조절을 받으며, PHKG2의 돌연변이는 glycogen storage disease type 9C(autosomal liver glycogenosis)를 유발할 수 있습니다. 또한, 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다.
