Product Specific Information

The 22URTI monoclonal antibody reacts with human interleukin (IL)-22, a 20 kDa cytokine of the IL-10 family secreted mainly by Th17 and NK cells. IL-22 expression is induced by IL-23 and acts through a receptor complex composed of IL-10R2 and IL-22R1.

Applications Reported: Suitable for intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and validated using the Intracellular Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Set (Product # 88-8824-00). Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (100 µL total volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 737 (BUV737) emits at 732 nm and is intended for use on cytometers equipped with a 355 nm UV laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Buffer Recommendations:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) or Brilliant Stain Buffer (Product # 00-4409) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
Protect vial and stained samples from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.

Fixation Compatibility:
Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333).
BUV737 is compatible with short-term methanol fixation (<1 hour).

Target Information

IL-22 (IL-10-related T-cell derived inducible factor) is an α-helical cytokine in the IFN-IL-10 family. Produced mainly by activated T and NK cells, IL-22 signals through IL-22R1 and IL-10R2 receptors via the JAK-STAT pathway. It influences nonimmune cells such as keratinocytes, hepatocytes, and epithelial cells of the skin and digestive tract. IL-22 plays a key role in host defense, wound healing, and chronic inflammation, and is co-expressed with IL-17A/F in Th17 cells.
