Target Information
TMEM2 유전자는 interferon-induced transmembrane (IFITM) 단백질 슈퍼패밀리에 속하는 type II transmembrane 단백질을 암호화합니다.
이 단백질은 세포 표면 히알루로니다아제로 작용하며, 고분자량 히알루로난을 중간 크기의 단편으로 절단한 후 리소좀에서 분해합니다.
또한 인간에서 JAK-STAT 신호 경로를 활성화하여 interferon 매개 항바이러스 기능을 수행합니다.
유방암 세포에서 SOX4 전사인자에 의해 활성화될 때 암 진행과 관련된 병리학적 효과를 매개하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
TMEM2 유전자의 자연 발생적 돌연변이는 상염색체 열성 비증후군성 난청과 관련이 있습니다.
