For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

This gene encodes the coagulation factor XIII A subunit. Coagulation factor XIII is the last zymogen activated in the blood coagulation cascade. Plasma factor XIII consists of two A subunits (catalytic) and two B subunits (carrier). Platelet factor XIII contains only A subunits. Upon thrombin activation in the presence of calcium, plasma factor XIII dissociates its B subunits and forms the active enzyme factor XIIIa.
Factor XIIIa acts as a transglutaminase to catalyze crosslinking between fibrin molecules, stabilizing the clot. It also crosslinks α2-plasmin inhibitor or fibronectin to fibrin α chains. Deficiency of factor XIII can result in bleeding tendencies, poor wound healing, and habitual abortion.
