Product Specific Information
Description:
The monoclonal antibody 1A8-Ly6g reacts with mouse Ly-6G (Gr-1), a 25-kDa GPI protein expressed exclusively by neutrophils. Ly-6G plays a role in neutrophil infiltration, recruitment, and migration, and associates with B2 integrins CD11a and CD11b. Unlike RB6-8C5, this antibody binds only to Ly-6G on neutrophils and can be used for neutrophil depletion with reported antagonist activity.

- Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
- Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells.
- Recommended use ≤ 0.5 µg/test (in 100 µL final volume).
- Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test (empirically determined).
- Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red.
- Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Ly6G (Lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus G6D) is part of the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr-1 complex with Ly6C. It is a 21–25 kDa protein expressed by myeloid-derived bone marrow cells and serves as a marker for neutrophils, monocytes, and granulocytes. Expression correlates with granulocyte differentiation and maturation. Ly6G is implicated in anti-tumor responses and may modulate local immune activity through inhibitory signaling.
