Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody 20Raj1 recognizes the human Ki-67 protein. Two isoforms (345 and 395 kDa) are expressed in dividing cells and are detectable during active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, and mitosis), but absent in resting cells (G0).
During interphase, Ki-67 localizes to the nucleus and redistributes to chromosomes during mitosis, associating with heterochromatin-bound proteins such as CBX3.
Ki-67 expression serves as a marker for determining the fraction of proliferating cells in tumor studies.
This antibody also recognizes canine Ki-67.

- Tested by immunocytochemistry on fixed and permeabilized HeLa cells
- Recommended ≤ 5 µg/mL, titrate for optimal performance
Filter Recommendation:
Use filters capturing 570 nm emission (e.g., Excitation 545/25, 565LP, Emission 605/70).
Standard Alexa Fluor™ 555 or TRITC filters are acceptable.

Target Information
Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during late G1, S, G2, and M phases. It associates with euchromatin and heterochromatin regions and shows cell cycle-dependent localization.
Ki-67 is widely used as a proliferation marker since it is absent in G0 cells and increases from G1 through mitosis.
In neoplastic tissues, Ki-67 index correlates with tumor grade and is a valuable prognostic marker.
Commonly used in neuronal cell cycle and proliferation studies.
