Product Specific Information

The II/41 monoclonal antibody reacts with the μ heavy chain of mouse IgM and does not cross-react with other mouse immunoglobulin classes (IgD, IgG, IgA). IgM is expressed intracellularly in early B cell development and on mature B cells in bone marrow and peripheral tissues.

Applications Reported:

• Immunohistochemical staining of frozen tissue sections
• Immunocytochemistry

Applications Tested:

• Tested by ICC on fixed, differentiated OLN93 cells with O1 (Anti-Oligodendrocyte Marker) primary antibody
• Tested by IHC-P on FFPE human tonsil with HI98 (Anti-CD15) primary antibody
• Recommended concentration ≤ 10 µg/mL (optimize per assay)

Filter Recommendation:
For eFluor™ 570 detection, use filter capturing 570 nm emission (e.g., Excitation 545/25, 565LP, Emission 605/70).
Standard Alexa Fluor™ 555 or TRITC filters are also suitable.

Target Information

Mouse IgM is an immunoglobulin M antibody produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is the first antibody generated during immune response and the largest immunoglobulin in serum. Composed of five heavy and five light chains, IgM plays a key role in complement activation and antigen agglutination. It is essential for innate immune defense and is widely used in ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry research applications.
