MARK1 (MAP/microtubule affinity-regulating kinase 1)은 MARK 계열의 serine/threonine kinase로, 미세소관 관련 단백질을 인산화하여 세포골격 안정성에 관여합니다.
MARK2는 MAP/microtubule affinity-regulating kinase 2 isoform a [Homo sapiens]를 의미하며, EMK (ELKL Motif Kinase) 계열은 세포 극성, 미세소관 안정성 및 암 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
MARK3는 DNA 손상 유도에 의해 발현되는 마커로 처음 확인되었으며, 췌장암 발생 시 소실되는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
MARK4는 N-말단 serine/threonine kinase 도메인, 중앙 ubiquitin-associated 도메인, C-말단 KA1 관련 kinase 도메인을 포함하며, 간세포암에서 발현이 증가하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
