TP53RK는 EKC/KEOPS 복합체의 구성 요소로, 아데노신 37번 위치(A37)에 트레오닐카바모일 그룹을 형성하는 데 필요합니다. 이 복합체는 threonylcarbamoyl-AMP(TC-AMP)의 트레오닐카바모일기를 A37의 N6 그룹으로 전달하는 데 관여합니다. TP53RK는 EKC/KEOPS 복합체 내에서 ATPase 활성을 가지며, 촉매 서브유닛 OSGEP의 보조 역할을 수행합니다. 또한 비정형 단백질 키나아제로서 p53/TP53 단백질의 Ser-15를 인산화하여 활성화에 관여할 수 있습니다.
