Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Adiponectin is a protein hormone secreted exclusively by adipocytes that regulates lipid and glucose metabolism.
It plays a key role in physiological processes such as homeostasis and obesity.
Reduced adiponectin levels are associated with obesity, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes.
In mice, adiponectin improves insulin signaling by activating AMP kinase and PPAR-alpha, increasing fatty acid transport and oxidation in skeletal muscle, thereby reducing intracellular lipid levels.
