Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step. Recommended product: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).
Target Information
Gli-2 is a C2H2-type zinc finger protein and a transcription factor that binds DNA through zinc finger motifs containing conserved H-C links.
Gli family proteins mediate Sonic hedgehog (Shh) signaling and act as potent oncogenes in embryonal carcinoma cells.
The GLI2 protein localizes to the cytoplasm and activates the patched Drosophila homolog (PTCH) gene expression. It is implicated in embryogenesis and associated with phenotypes such as:
- Greig cephalopolysyndactyly syndrome
- Pallister-Hall syndrome
- Preaxial polydactyly type IV
- Postaxial polydactyly types A1 and B
