Reconstitution can be performed with 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody is shipped lyophilized at room temperature and should be stored at -20°C upon arrival.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week; for longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g for 5 min).

Target Information

The P2X7 receptor is a member of the purinoceptor family for ATP, functioning as a ligand-gated ion channel. It mediates ATP-dependent lysis of macrophages via formation of membrane pores permeable to large molecules. Activation by ATP in the cytoplasm may link cellular activity to changes in gene expression.
Multiple alternatively spliced variants have been identified, most of which meet nonsense-mediated decay criteria.
