Target Information
혈관내피세포성장인자(VEGF) 패밀리는 VEGF-A, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, VEGF-D, VEGF-E, PIGF를 포함합니다.
VEGF와 그 수용체 시스템은 혈관신생(angiogenesis) 세포 신호전달의 핵심 조절자로 알려져 있습니다.
대부분의 종양은 혈관신생을 필요로 하며, VEGF는 이 과정에서 가장 강력한 혈관신생 사이토카인으로 보고됩니다.
현재까지 VEGF 유전자의 대체 스플라이싱으로 생성된 5가지 이소폼이 알려져 있으며, 이들은 주로 내피세포에 발현되는 두 가지 티로신 키나아제 수용체인 flt-1 (VEGFR-1)과 flk-1/KDR (VEGFR-2)에 결합합니다.
