Recombinant Human VEGF 165 is a 38.2 kDa disulfide-linked homodimeric protein consisting of two 165 amino acid polypeptide chains.

Target Information
The vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family includes VEGF-A, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, VEGF-D, VEGF-E, and PIGF.
VEGF and its receptor system are fundamental regulators of angiogenesis signaling. Tumor growth often requires angiogenesis, and VEGF is one of the most potent angiogenic cytokines involved.
Five different isoforms of VEGF are known, generated by alternative splicing from a single VEGF gene. These isoforms bind to tyrosine kinase receptors flt-1 (VEGFR-1) and flk-1/KDR (VEGFR-2), expressed mainly on endothelial cells.
