Product Specific Information

Reconstitute in 500 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Specificity: ATG10.

Target Information

ATG10 is involved in autophagy, a process for bulk degradation of cytosolic compartments by lysosomes/vacuoles. The formation of autophagosomes requires dynamic membrane rearrangement, involving two ubiquitin-like modifications: conjugation of APG12p and modification of MAP-LC3 to a membrane-bound form.
APG10 acts as an E2-like enzyme essential for autophagosome formation, mediating ATG12–ATG5 conjugation and MAP-LC3 (MAP1LC3A) modification.
ATG10 is ubiquitously expressed, and the human APG10L gene is localized on chromosome 5q14.2.
