For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

This gene encodes the coagulation factor XIII A subunit, the final zymogen activated in the blood coagulation cascade. Plasma factor XIII is a heterotetramer (2 A subunits and 2 B subunits). The A subunits have catalytic function, while the B subunits act as carrier molecules. Platelet factor XIII consists of two A subunits identical to plasma origin. Upon thrombin activation in the presence of calcium, the B subunits dissociate, forming active factor XIIIa, a transglutaminase that stabilizes fibrin clots by crosslinking fibrin molecules and other proteins such as alpha-2-plasmin inhibitor or fibronectin.
Deficiency of factor XIII can lead to bleeding disorders, impaired wound healing, and recurrent miscarriage.
