This antibody detects endogenous CALY protein at a molecular weight of approximately 23 kDa.

Target Information
Calcyon (CALY) is a single transmembrane protein that interacts with D1 dopamine receptors. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter involved in synaptic transmission, learning, and memory. D1 receptors, the most abundant dopamine receptors in the central nervous system, modulate D2 receptor activity, mediate behavioral responses, and regulate neuronal growth and differentiation.
Calcyon is found in neuronal cell bodies and processes of the cortex and hippocampus, especially abundant in pyramidal neurons. Interaction of Calcyon with D1 receptors induces the release of intracellular calcium.
