CASK는 calcium/calmodulin-dependent serine protein kinase로, MAGUK (membrane-associated guanylate kinase) 단백질 패밀리에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 뇌의 시냅스에 위치한 scaffold 단백질로, FG syndrome 4, 정신지체, 소두증과 소뇌저형성증, X-연관 정신지체 등의 질환과 연관되어 있습니다. CASK는 피질 세포골격 내 신호전달 경로를 조정하는 세포막 스캐폴드 역할을 수행합니다.
