Target Information
Ganglioside GM3는 세포 분화 유도, 증식 조절, 섬유아세포 형태 유지, 신호 전달 및 인테그린 매개 세포 부착에 관여합니다. 이 단백질은 lactosylceramide를 기질로 사용하여 GM3를 형성하는 type II 막 단백질입니다. 해당 유전자는 glycosyltransferase family 29에 속하며, 골지체에 위치할 수 있습니다. 돌연변이는 Amish infantile epilepsy syndrome과 연관되어 있습니다. 다양한 isoform을 암호화하는 전사 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
