Target Information
GATA4 is a member of the GATA family of zinc-finger transcription factors. These proteins recognize the GATA motif in gene promoters and regulate genes involved in embryogenesis and myocardial differentiation. Mutations in GATA4 are associated with cardiac septal defects.
