CACNA2D4는 전압 의존성 칼슘 채널 복합체의 α2/δ 소단위 패밀리에 속하는 단백질입니다. 칼슘 채널은 세포막 탈분극 시 칼슘 이온의 유입을 매개하며, α1, α2/δ, β, γ 소단위체가 1:1:1:1 비율로 구성됩니다.
이 단백질은 α2와 δ 소단위로 절단되며, 전사적 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
