Target Information
CD21 (complement receptor 2, CR2, C3D receptor, EBV receptor)는 C3 보체의 분해 조각과 결합하며, 항원 표면에 부착된 보체 활성화 조각의 인식에 관여합니다.
이 단백질은 면역복합체의 흡수 및 유지, 기억 B 세포의 생존, T 의존 항원에 대한 체액성 면역 반응 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 Epstein-Barr 바이러스(EBV)의 주요 수용체로 작용하며, 프리온이 여포 수지상 세포로 전달되는 과정에도 관여합니다.
가용성 형태(sCD21)는 림프구 표면에서 절단되어 리간드 결합 능력을 유지합니다. CD21은 C3d, C3dg, iC3b, EBV, IFNα에 대한 수용체로 작용하며, CD23과 결합하고 CD19, CD81, Leu13과 복합체를 형성하여 B 세포 활성화 신호 전달에 관여합니다.
CD21 유전자의 변이는 전신홍반루푸스(SLEB9) 감수성과 관련이 있습니다. 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다.
