KDR (FLK1, VEGFR2)는 type III receptor tyrosine kinase로, 혈관 내피 성장 인자(VEGF)에 높은 친화도로 결합합니다. 이 수용체는 발생 초기의 내피세포 전구체에서 발현되며, Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin αVβ3, T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase 등 다양한 인자에 의해 신호 전달과 이동이 조절됩니다. FLK1 (VEGF Receptor 2)의 변이는 영아 모세혈관 혈관종과 관련이 있습니다.
