Mouse anti-Dog CD25, clone P4A10 recognizes the canine homologue of the human CD25 cell surface antigen, also known as IL-2Rα, a glycoprotein of approximately 55 kDa expressed primarily by activated T lymphocytes (Abrams et al., 2010).

Target Information

CD25 (IL2 receptor alpha chain / IL2RA) is a cytokine receptor involved in the proliferation of T and B lymphocytes. The IL2RA forms part of a heterotrimeric complex with IL2RB and IL2RG, constituting the high-affinity IL2 receptor. Homodimeric IL2RA chains result in low-affinity receptors, while IL2RB homodimers produce medium-affinity receptors. IL2 is primarily produced by mature T cells and functions as a growth, differentiation, and survival factor. It stimulates B cell proliferation, enhances NK cell activity, and regulates immune responses. Mutations in IL2RA are associated with interleukin-2 receptor alpha deficiency.
