Target Information
Phosphatidic acid phosphatase type 2 (PAP2)는 원래 인지질 산(phosphatidic acid, PA)을 디아실글리세롤(DG)로 탈인산화하는 플라즈마막 효소로 확인되었습니다. 이후 PAP2의 여러 동형이 클로닝되었으며, 이 효소들은 PA뿐 아니라 lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) 및 sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P)와 같은 생리활성 지질도 탈인산화할 수 있음이 밝혀졌습니다. 따라서 이들은 lipid phosphate phosphatases (LPPs)로 명명되었으며, 현재 LPP1, LPP1a, LPP2, LPP3의 네 가지 주요 멤버가 알려져 있습니다.
